Annemarie Masson

COUNCILLOR - SEAT #1

Annemarie Masson holds a degree in interior design and fine arts. She is the great-great-granddaughter of Édouard Masson, founder of Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson. She has been a resident of Sainte-Marguerite/Estérel for 56 years. Annemarie worked in Boston for the EF Foundation as a graphic designer and printing manager. She also worked in advertising sales for the Globe and Mail, and, while raising her three children at home, she was employed as a designer/interior artist.

Annemarie has worked as a professional painter in Tampa Bay, where she was part of a large artistic community. Her work has been recognized, notably in a live report on Fox News in the United States, as well as by publications in major art magazines in the Tampa and St. Petersburg region.

After her brother discovered and identified Myriophyllum spicatum (Eurasian watermilfoil) in the lakes, Annemarie felt compelled to join the Pappas team. She wishes to contribute to their lake-preservation mission and to smart planning for a greener future before it’s too late.

Claudia Baruch

COUNCILLOR - SEAT #2

Claudia Baruch is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned her degree from McGill in 1990, with prior experience in mental health within the public system. She is currently in private practice, mainly focusing on crisis intervention, and has served on the board of directors of a mental health crisis center since 2017, becoming chair of the board in 2019.

Born in Zimbabwe, she grew up in South Africa but has spent most of her life in Quebec. Her husband and two children found happiness in Esterel nearly 20 years ago. Captivated from the start, her interest and involvement in this town and its people have grown exponentially. She has served on the Nautical Committee and the Environment Committee in recent years. She hopes to make a strong contribution to preserving this slice of paradise by exercising foresight and planning to safeguard what we have for future generations.

She loves staying active, and water skiing tops the list of her favorite activities. L’Estérel, this special community, and its preservation and value are close to her heart.

Julie Dandurand

COUNCILLOR - SEAT #3

Julie Dandurand is deeply committed to her community and believes in the power of collective effort to build a sustainable and inclusive living environment. With 14 years of experience as an assistant principal in a secondary school with the Laurentides School Board, she has developed solid expertise in management, leadership, and supporting youth and families. For more than 10 years, she has also worked as a manager in the residential construction sector, where she combines rigor, organization, and a hands-on approach.

Guided by values of transparency, respect, and integrity, she places listening and collaboration at the heart of her engagement. Driven by the desire to contribute positively to the development of her municipality, she relies on dialogue and citizen participation to find concrete and lasting solutions. Her vision rests on balancing development, quality of life, and environmental preservation, in order to meet today’s needs while preparing for the future.

Christian Bélanger

COUNCILLOR - SEAT #4

Graduated from the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York and from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in 1988, Christian Bélanger stands out as a key figure in interior design in Quebec. His expertise extends to the design and management of a variety of projects in the residential, commercial, and institutional sectors. Recognized for his innovative and creative approach, he has been the recipient of numerous design excellence awards, reflecting his significant contribution to the field.

Among his notable achievements, Christian Bélanger co-designed the Wilfrid-Pelletier Hall at Place des Arts, as well as the public commercial spaces at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport. His personal touch is also evident in various iconic Montreal boutiques and restaurants, where he has successfully blended functionality and aesthetics.

Since 2011, he has been a partner at BELANGERMARTIN, a retail and interior design firm based in Saint-Sauveur. A resident of Esterel since 2016, Christian Bélanger is actively committed to contributing to the enrichment of his local community, putting his talent and expertise at the service of his environment.

Me Alain Leclerc

COUNCILLOR - SEAT #5

I am a lawyer and a senior partner at the firm where I have been practicing for 25 years now.

Holding a private pilot license, I am passionate about aviation. I am also fond of sports, especially skiing and running.

I have been a resident of Estérel since 2003 and there I raised my two daughters who are now teenagers. The moments spent on Lac du Nord, snowshoeing or hiking in winter and canoeing or boating in summer, are certainly among my best memories with my daughters. It is on that lake, by the way, that they learned to swim.

Estérel occupies a very important part of my life. It is incomparable in my eyes, and I want to make sure it remains so.

Charles Coulson, CFA

COUNCILLOR - SEAT #6

Charles earned his degree from McGill University in 1995 with a major in Economics and spent his career in the financial services industry. He obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2005. He is currently Senior Vice President, Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager at CIBC Wood Gundy.

His love affair with the region began 45 years ago when he visited his grandmother’s summer cottage in Sainte-Marguerite. Fate had it that he would reconnect with the region 25 years later when he met his future wife, Isabelle, a native of Sainte-Marguerite. A golf and watersports enthusiast, they bought a cottage in Estérel in 2009, where they have spent most of their time since.

Charles has participated in numerous charitable activities, and recently he has become particularly interested in the Jewish General Hospital Foundation.

The Estérel community and all it has to offer are an integral part of his life; he is determined to keep it that way and he will work passionately to ensure it.
